Hi,
Could you please evaluate my profile and share the chances you feel I have, to get admission in some of the reputed (I want to target Ivy League) universities for MBA program?
Nationality: Indian
Education: B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, India (GPA: 7.03/10, year 2014).
Work: Analytics Industry
Professional WE:
I started working in Jan, 2015, with a Financial Services firm that ranks around 240 in Fortune 500 and have a total work-experience of just less than 3 years with it. I am a Business Analyst (working majorly on SAS and also used Tableau and currently learning R and Python). I have started my career with this firm and never switched to a new job.
Social Experience:
In my college (NIT Bhopal), I have been deeply involved with Rotaract Club (affiliated to Rotary International). While I was Media Incharge of the Rotaract Club for an year, for 3 years I have been working for this club managing/organising several cloth collection and distribution drives, blood donation drives and teaching at a slum (daily for 3 years).
After moving from the college, I joined an NGO and for the past year have been managing many events like Rural Recruitment Drives, Career Counselling etc. I was a Team Leader for Public
Relations and as of now I am the Practice head of Public Relations and CSR activities at the same.
I have also worked for another organisation called Goonj and conducted some camps for cloth collection for flood victims.
Please let me know in case you need further details to evaluate my profile.
I plan to take GMAT in January, 2018 and target a score of 740. Below are some of my queries (expecting I score around 730):
1) What are my chances to get admission into an Ivy League program. Does my profile seem worth qualifying to make into these programs?
2) If my profile doesn't sound like one that can make it into Ivy League programs, can I work now to make it a worthy one?
3) If both the above answers are 'Yes', what would you suggest me to do?
4) If both the above answers (1 & 2) are 'No', what would you suggest me to do?
5) Any other comments or suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the guidance you would be providing me.
Regards,
Aspirant
