Hi Experts,

I will be appearing for GMAT in the last week of January 2018.
My target colleges will be from UK / Europe / Singapore. (I am from India)

From what I have read on the forum, it is usually advised to apply in R1/R2 only for international candidates.
Though I am yet to decide on exact colleges I will be applying to, would it make sense if I applied in R3/ R4 (in 2018), or should I wait for another year and apply in R1/ R2 in 2019?

Thanks for your insights :)
Some schools have R3 and R4 only for domestic candidates who don't need time for VISA processing. If you are looking for scholarships you should apply in R1 and R2. Also, schools which have small class sizes recommend applying as early as possible.

Also, some schools have an early round, which is usually binding. Here, the number of seats and chances of scholarships decrease with each round.

It is also recommended to apply early if you have a low GPA or a low GMAT. If you apply later, the adcom compares your stats to the R1 admits while looking at the class average. Hence, thing becomes even more difficult , especially for an overrepresented pool from India.
