Question

hey there..!!
I just finished my GMAT exam today and got a score of 640.
quant :-49
verbal:- 28
IR :7.
work ex:-5 years
which college should i apply.?

Hello! I am not an expert but I think that it depends on your ambition. Your score is good, but ideally, you need above 700 to get into top schools. I would suggest you try getting a higher verbal score if you can retake the GMAT. Alternatively, you can apply to b-schools with lower rankings that are not as demanding in terms of the GMAT. In my opinion, you should try to improve your Gmat score and then apply for colleges. 
ISB/IIMs generally require a score of 700+. Although it also depends on your profile.
Still, it will be beneficial if you can score a 700+.

If you are not keen on studying in India, your score is pretty much in the 80th percentile 
of most tier 2 Canadian programs. Some of the programs which may be interested 
are as follows:

1. DeGroote
2. Ryerson (Ted Rogers)
3. John Molson (Concordia)
4. Lazaridis (Laurier)
5. Tefler (Ottawa) 
6. Haskayne (Calgary)
7. Alberta School of Business

You would have to do some work work on shortlisting other schools based on 
your interest. Also, you will have to apply to the schools as quickly as possible, 
because quite a few of these schools have rolling deadlines for international
applicants.

Hi ishantheiitian , Most of the top tier schools will look for a score upwards of 700. Hence, it is recommended that you retake the GMAT. The quant score is great and some work on your verbal section will help you boost your score
