Need urgent advice on whether or not i should reinstate my score
my second gmat score was Q47V45 740. my third score was Q48V36 690. both the IR and AWA scores are essentially equal. clearly my previous score was better (overall) and i immediately cancelled my third and latest score. yet, i am applying for msc finance & accounting and the universities im applying to do prefer strong quant skills (particularly since my major was not very quantitative). im just wondering whether it would be best to reinstate my 3rd score just to show off the minor jump from Q47 to Q48 and so risk showing that my verbal cratered from V45 to V36 and that my overall score dropped below 700....
applications are being sent this weekend so any and all help on this topic much appreciated

I would keep things as is...the low verbal score may open up more problems than solutions. That 740 is a strong score, even if the Q is slightly lower, but that verbal score on your latest GMAT is really low. I would keep that score under wraps if possible

I think its better to keep the 740 score. To compensate your quant score you can opt for some credit based quant course separately and can showcase that you are improving(or atleast kin to improve) your quant.
