Question

I'm a salesman of a multinational company in India for last 12 yrs(with little career growth). 
I'm 37 now. 
I got 57% in Economics(graduation)----  . 
Do I stand a chance to be in at Wharton,kellogg,Darden,Tuck (provided good GMAT). 
Prfessional achievement---worked in three projects in last 6 yrs. 
Extracurricular---Spreading interest in meditation.

There are few b-school students who are 35+, but they do probably represent about 5-10% of the student population. Have you looked into executive programs?

I think executive programs are meant for sponsored working professionals but I work in India now & not in a position to join us company only to attend exec -mba.
Secondly my present company wont sponsor my mba.
So what will be relevant MBA to move me from sales to marketing(keeping in mind 3yr undergraduation)

Well exec MBAs DO NOT always require a sponsoring company. I know for a fact Wharton does not require a company to sponsor you. I attended their talk here in Portland a few months back and it sounds quite good for an older candidate.

Also, what is your reason for MBA? At 35+ years, your work experience might be more valuable than a MBA. Especially if you are planning to switch to IB or Mgt Consulting.

I would assume the opportunity cost (for a full time MBA) would be quite high! As the other thruthringer suggested a part time exec MBA might have a better ROI.

Finally, you might be able to achieve your objectives by taking a specialzed masters like - Financial Engineering, Economics or IT Management. Again it boils down to what you want.
