Hello, and thank you for your time should you choose to read this.
Male, 27 years old, half white American half Korean.
Work experience: Two years teaching English in Korea, two and a half years teaching English in Japan at one of the three biggest English teaching companies here.
GMAT: 710(91%) Q45(57%)V41(94%)IR8(93%)AWA not received yet
Also took the GRE last year, getting a Verbal 169/Quant 162/AW4.5. Should I retake the GMAT, use my previous score, or use my GRE score?
College: 3.4 liberal arts degree from an average state university
Extracurriculars: Japanese N3 Proficiency. Looking to achieve N2 (enough for most jobs) by next year. Chess player for 22 years, piano player for 12. In the past have volunteered at church, but have not volunteered abroad.
Goals: Entrepreneurship and innovation in technology
Schools: My dream schools at the moment are stanford and kellogg, but I would be happy going to school at IU Kelley or Purdue Krannert in the state my family lives in.
Concerns: It seems to me that my background is unorthodox for an MBA, and there will be concern about my quantitative skills due to my gmat and lack of a background in math. Also, this will represent a large career change for me, if I am accepted. Will I be facing a great deal of difficulty in this path, and what can I do to shore up my weaknesses?
