Hi joshishrey,
Thank you for your note. Believe it or not, that 690 to 730 range you've described is quite wide, and it makes it rather difficult to assess where you might line up from a rankings perspective. As you're likely aware, GMAT scores among Indian applicants are extremely high and competition is quite fierce. Matters are even more difficult when you apply from an IT background and with relatively little work experience. I encourage you to read this GMAT Club post about the MBA admission chances for Indian applicants across the top 50 U.S. programs:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/mba-admissio ... 39142.html Many in the MBA blogosphere suggest that with a ~690 GMAT score, you might look at U.S. programs at which the class has an ~650-660 average GMAT score. And with a 730, you could entertain U.S. programs with a ~690-700 average GMAT score. But these are very high level rules of thumb. Those programs would still be difficult to get into with those scores. Achieving necessary GMAT scores is only one part of the application process. The rest comes down to your career goals, resume, work experience, recommendations, story, passion and purpose, knowledge and fit with specific programs, etc.
It seems to me that you're still early in the process. So I encourage you to focus on maximizing your GMAT score. Continue to read up on the MBA landscape. Once you've taken the GMAT, please feel free to reach out for a Free Consultation then (as it would be much more fruitful). Best of luck!
Kind Regards,
Greg
