Greetings. I have applied to Master of Accountancy programs and was wondering what you thought about my chances to get into the Leventhal Graduate School of Accounting at USC.
My Profile:

GPA: 3.002
-President, Pledge Trainer, and Risk Manager (different terms) of Beta Theta Pi fraternity
-Member of the Interfraternity Council

-Study abroad student at UNSW in Sydney Australia
-Member of the Greek Move-in Committee

Went right to law school at the University of Missouri. Withdrew during the first semester for various reasons, mostly that I was burnt out and uncertain of my desire to be a lawyer. These were things that should have stopped me from going right away in the first place, but I made a mistake.
Worked at a top 5 law firm in Chicago as a legal assistant for 1.5 years. Checked out the law profession to see if I wanted to continue with law school, which I have centaintly decided I do not. Worked on a huge case, Coleman (Parent) Holdings v. Morgan Stanley in which I was worked in Florida for 4 months on trial. We won $1.5 billion. I'll take the credit. I bought 3 different flavors of menthol throat lozenges for Ronald Perelman, our billionaire client. I'm pretty sure that made the difference in the case.
During the summer and fall of 2005, while working, I took accounting classes at DePaul University to gauge my interest and talent in accounting. I took 4 classes and earned a 4.0 overall GPA.
Great Recs from Lawyers at the firm.
GMAT: 710 - 94% (43Q - 71%, 44V - 97%, 5.5 AWA)
I took the test March 9, which was a month later than I had planned due to personal reasons. USC's application deadline for non-accounting majors was March 1. I called USC the next day and talked to the admissions dean. I told her about myself and she said to apply as they accept applicants on an as availible basis. So all my application and supplemental materials were in their hands by March 16.
Their averages are 3.3 GPA and "low to mid 600s" on the GMAT
This is my dream school and I'm dying to get it, but I don't feel good about it because of my late application and mediocre performance in undergrad (due to my lack of maturity...damn it.)
Sorry for the long post, but I can't stop thinking about it. I've read their entire website like 20 different times.
Just hit me with it. Straight up. What are my chances? Like one in a hundred?
-More like one in a million.
(Pause) So you're telling me there's a chance! I read ya.
That's from Dumb and Dumber. Ok, I'm ready. Hit me with it.
Thanks, Mike
