Hey all,
I'm going to apply for the following programmes this year: Masters in Financial Analysis (MFA) at LBS & Masters in International Finance (MiF) at HEC Paris.
It would be great to receive some feedback about my admission chances.
Profile:
- Academics: Bachelors in Business Administration at a well-known continental European B-School, graduating with a First Class Honours (top 15%)
- Work experience: Two IBD internships at large European banks, and one internship at a boutique asset manager
- Extracurricular: Exchange semester in Asia, participated in a university-wide honours programme, and 2 years of military experience
- International: Originally from Asia, lived and worked abroad in 5 countries (inc. 12 years in Europe), and can speak 3 languages
I still yet have to take the GMAT exam, and was just wondering - would a mediocre GMAT score be a major turn-off for LBS and HEC? Do they put a lot of emphasis on the score?
Many thanks in advanced! Hello
seun94What is the name of well-known continental European B-School ?
Great GPA.
Good work.
Your work experience is relevant.
Extracurricular is interesting...military experience, if not as civil service, I guess gives you some discipline
Speaking 3 languages is certainly a plus and adds weight to application strength.
I don't know what mediocre GMAT score would be from your perspective.
However, LBS has average score of admitted students around 700.
HEC has 690.
So certainly you can get in with 660-670, if that was your question.
Good Luck with GMAT !
