Dear Admission experts,
I am planning to clear my GMAT by March -2019. Once I achieve my desired score I am thinking of quitting my full-time job and work as a full-time freelancer.
Career Situation:
I am a software architect with 7+ years of full-time experience working in Germany. I am an expert at several software technologies and methodologies. Although I am currently getting good offers for freelancing, I don't want to take a risk before completing my GMAT. Whereas I am planning to move into a full-time software freelancing after completing my GMAT and before B-school admission.
Purpose:
Moving into a freelancing career in software not only gives me freedom from what I choose to work on, but also a lot of income. I might earn approximately 2.5X-3X times more than what I am currently earning. I want to use this money in future for my B-school expenses and for supporting my family when I couldn't earn. As of now, I am the only breadwinner in my family.
Question:
Do quitting a full-time professional job and working as a full-time freelancer will negatively impact my B-school application?
Is it a risk doing it before B-school admission? If yes, is it Ok to do it after I get an admission and before joining the B-school.
I request the admission experts to guide me through this. I do not want to risk my chances of B-school admission.
Thanks a lot
