Okay, I plan on applying for Fall 07 full-time MBA programs at UNC, UVA, UCLA, USC (Southern Cal), and IU (Indiana). Here are some stats:

*Currently 24, will be 26 at time of enrollment.
*GMAT 630 (Q41, V36) (probably taking again in a month or so)
*Undergraduate GPA 3.45 with an Accounting Degree from the University of Louisville(Math and business related classes were higher than overall GPA) My GPA was a 4.0 in my final year when I was not as involved with Fraternity life (these were not easy electives either)
*Currently about 20 months of work experience, will have closer to 35 at time of enrollment.
*President of my Fraternity in college, and member of a couple honor societies and groups
*Currently an alumni advisor to my fraternity
*Currently Budget Director of my companies $2 million Charity foundation.

If there is anything else I can be more specific about please let me know.

I am from the midwest (KY). Does this increase my chances of getting into a school that is on the east or west coast?

I think you will need to score close to a 700 to have a chance at UVA, UCLA, and USC. Your work experience is a bit on the short side, and I didn't see anything in the info you gave me, besides your intriguing current role as your company's charity budget director, that would help you significantly offset a GMAT in the 630 to 660 range. If you can hit 670-680 you will be competitive for UNC and Indiana.

The fact that you are from the midwest helps a bit in terms of diversity for schools on the coasts, but that benefit is a very modest one at best and is certainly nowhere near as advantageous as coming from Tibet, Borneo, or Zanzibar (for example). You want your diversity profile to rest on far more than being from Kentucky.
