Assigned to two very-high-profile projects and assisting the lead planner in organizing the collaboration of a dozen different directorates a subordinate headquarters. This job position is traditionally held by a more senior captain with at least 7 years of experience.
Jul 2017-Jul 2018: Served at Headquarters, U.S. Army, Pacific, as the executive officer to the foreign policy advsior (FPA), a Department of State Senior Foreign Service Officer assigned to the headquarters. Supported the FPA in advising the commanding general on U.S. foreign policy and foreign engagements. Conducted final review of diplomatic and intelligence reports for utilization by the FPA and dissemination to relevant directorates. Maintained the operation of the office during the FPA's absence and facilitated the exchange of sensitive information among 6 headquarters and government agencies located on 4 landmasses across 11 time zones on short notice, ensuring successful execution of a series of undersecretary-level meetings. Assisted in formulating plans and directives to facilitate the battalion's preparation for worldwide deployment.
