Hi!
I have just failed to retake the GMAT - I previously scored 720 Q47 V42, and now I landed at the exact same score, yet with a different split - 720 Q50 V38. So, should I keep the score to show that Q50 or is it better to cancel it to let schools see only one attempt?
I am applying to top European masters in finance and I heard that they put more emphasis on quant.
What do you guys think?

I would keep the score with the higher quant score! Generally programs care more about the quant score, especially for a finance program. And 720 is a solid score so while it's always great to get it even higher don't stress too much about your inability to improve it. At least you raised your quant! 
Plus, as long as you keep both scores schools will still see the other test with the higher verbal score as well, which is a good thing.

Hi antonio123,
You must keep the higher quant score for reasons already stated above
Additionally, in case the school provides you with an essay to address any additional information, you could always talk about how you have, in another attempt, managed to score a 42 on the verbal. Hence, keep both the scores
