Hello,

I’m an engineering student, studying at Manipal University, India, currently in my pre final year. I’m seeking help to target realistic schools for MIM based on my profile. My goal is to make a career in marketing/management.

Profile -
Academics
• ~6.2/10 GPA.
• Research project on behavior of consumers who order food online.
• Minor in Digital Marketing.
• 1 month internship at a non profit.
• Internship at a technical firm.
• Internship at a small company, dealing with marketing duties.

Extra Curricular
• Musician

Won about 4 national level competitions - solo and with a band.
Worked as a professional musician, for local gigs, don’t know if this matters.
Music Director for 2 short films - represented in an international film festival, and won 2 national awards.

• Worked as an organizer for two college fests.
• Headed marketing and management for an event organized in my town, by a corporate (Sula Vineyards).

• Full fluency in French (B2 DELF)

I haven’t written the GMAT/GRE yet.

I’m looking to target schools mostly in France or Canada. Reason for poor academic performance is lack of interest. What schools are likely to accept low grades, given my profile?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi sharkeinstein,

Thank you for your post and or sharing your profile. You have had experiences that will aid in your admissions process. That said, the low GPA will be a hurdle. You will have to elaborate on your "Lack of interest" further for the institutions to be able to look past your GPA. How are your grades in your minor? I am happy to help in your process; however, it is difficult to do so without a GRE/GMAT. Please do reach out once you have taken the exam.
