I recently gave my GMAT exam but because of just one month of prep, I managed a 670 (Q48,V34,IR7). I want to apply for MBA (deferred admission) at HBS, GSB, Yale SOM, Chicago Booth and Columbia.
I'm a final year undergraduate student pursuing B.Tech. in IT in India. I have a CGPA of 9.2/10 and loads of extra curriculars to back my candidacy. I have just one month left for the deferred admission deadline and I'm a bit unsure about whether I stand a chance because of a very low GMAT score. Please help!

Hope this finds you well.
Irrespective of your fine GPA and extra-curricular activities, you will still need to aim for a much higher GMAT score. The programs you are targetting are top-notch ones and considering you come are Indian candidate with an IT background, the GMAT expectations will be a lot higher from you, anyway.
The good news is that you achieved a 670 with barely any preparation. Hence, we recommend some solid preparation (and a better score; preferably upwards of 740), before you apply!

The above-targetted schools are the most reputed ones and most of them are Tier-1 B Schools across the globe. The median GMAT score to apply for shortlisted B-School should be 730+. Because you would have no work experience while applying for the deferred programme, GMAT score shows the Adcom about your abilities in the classroom with related undergraduate coursework.
Having said that, with a GMAT score of 670 it will very tough to know your chances of getting a constructive response from the schools. If you were able to score 670 with a preparation time of a month, we hope you can do better with a bit more effort towards your GMAT targetting a score of 730+. Though you have a high standard profile, you have to meet the basic eligibility criteria of the schools.
