Hi GiorgiB123,

Thank you for your post. You have a really interesting profile with excellent career progression. I like that you have a clear goal for how an MBA can help your career and that you have demonstrated success in your entrepreneurial endeavors.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude is excellent, and you have a good overall GMAT score (can you provide the breakdown - I am particularly interested in your Quant score). As Scott already suggested, a stronger GMAT opens more doors. If you have time to re-take the GMAT, I recommend doing so; however, not at the expense of a strong application.

Your professional experiences are strong. I particularly like that you've started your own venture - there are great opportunities here that if appropriately told can speak to your character and values.

I do not see any community engagement in your post. Have you been involved in your community, whether that be in undergrad or post-graduation?

Your current profile can get you in schools that rank between 10-20. NYU, Anderson, and UNC are a few schools you should look at.

I would love to hear your story as an Indian-American and see how we can help maximize your changes. If interested, please reach out.

Good luck!

Hello Gmatclub community,

New here. Considering doing an MBA in fall of 2020 and looking for some guidance on realistic targets. Here is my profile:

- 28 years old, Indian-American (parents from India)
- 700 GMAT
- Went to IU Kelley (Honors) for UG, graduated Magna Cum Laude
- Worked at ATK for 4 years until Manager
- Left a few years back to start a real estate investment firm, raised about $4m from investors. Doing well. About 20-25% ROI.
- Started a construction / contracting company as well, generated $500k in revenues first year.
- Both doing well, but looking to ideally break more into 'hard' finance in same sectors, a la REPE or something similar.
- Essays and LOR's will probably be average

So, given my profile, what schools do you think are realistic?
