Thank you for your reply.

How do you feel about my chances for Wharton?

You said i have some impressive aspects - what do you find most impressive and what do you think needs work? Do you have any recommendations for how i can spruce up the weak points?

I bought your essay book and am looking forward to using it for assistance with essays.

Thank you for your help.

Ross

Ross,

Thanks for buying my book--I hope it helps. Your odds at Wharton are better than at HBS and Stanford, and I would not discourage you from applying; like Tuck and Kellogg, Wharton could come through for you. Your work experience appears to be strong, particularly if you now have significant leadership responsibility over others. Also, your community work and board membership are strong points on the extracurricular side. Your goals also appear to be well thought out and "savvy." Your weaknesses are minor: your age, your undergraduate school, and possibly your "cultural background"--that is, if you belong to an applicant pool that B-schools see a lot of, such as white American males and Indian IT males, then you will have to work harder to stand out. My only advice would be to keep doing what you're doing--gathering leadership and standout experiences. You don't need to change your strategy.

Good luck,
