Hi i´m looking for a profile evaluation for a mba (Top 20 B-Schools) my post graduate goal is to work in a sports related company. My Gmat score right now is 660 (44Q 36V), but i´m studying to reach +700.
i´m 24 yrs old Business Administration graduate from University of Lima 18´ Peru with a GPA of 3.36, i was a student-athlete (soccer) the whole career.
here a resume of my work experience:
Faber Castell (2015-2018)
In my time in college i decided to work as an finance intern. My first 2 yrs i was in credits & collections, financial planning and Treasury.
Then i got a promotion, still in college, for a full time job offer at Credits&Collections. I didn´t have people in charge most because i was studying and playing for the university, trying to managing my time.
Then i worked at Pluspetrol in 2018, Oil and Gas company as a Financial Intern.
This time i go a step back because i was trying to learn from this field. I was in the company for just 3 months because i didn´t have the money to pay for my degree and the company only hire people with the Bachelor certificate (at the time i was raising money for that) and my internship time was over.
I´m not gonna lie that was a very painful time, started to asking myself a lot about what i was gonna do. I was and am in good shape and already played soccer at good level so i decide to try for professional sports. For a whole year in a way of saving money and searching for options i traveled looking for opportunities in Peru at different teams while earning some money in little randomly soccer games

All of the sudden i was able to pay for my degree and have a little bit more money to try abroad, so i went to Argentina in order to upgrade my skills and looking for more chances of getting pro.
As a conclusion, the working conditions for a less experienced older player (23 yrs is old in soccer) in Latinoamerica are really hard. I got some offers with some clubs in Argentina, Peru and Paraguay but the paid was extremely low and with high risk. This is an issue that i would like to solve in general for young soccer players in the region, labor conditions are disadvantageous primarily because of low regulation from the governments and associations.
After a couple months in Argentina i came back to Peru and with my degree finally completed, i was able to land in the best bank in the country, BCP.
1 year later i´m a Business Analyst, my job consist in to be a consultant for an account of 84 clients with debt of US$40MM. It´s a really high-paced job with ambitious goals. At the moment no people in charge but i´m growing here.
Community Work:
All my life i was short of time due to my soccer career. I started when i was 11 years old and don´t stopped until 23. Right now i´m doing a local project with my girlfriend to increase the awareness about the residual management in small businesses. I believe in the project, requires little money and with more spread and effort i think it could reach the whole city of Lima. But for now is a very small project
As a whole i´m an athlete that is working on a bank, but really my goal it´s to get an mba to open doors at companies related to sports around the world. I want to be a model for a lot of young athletes, there are other options when the sport career is over and mentoring them is one of my goals.
So, that´s all. I would like to get some feedback. I now i need improvement in Gmat and W.E.
I you guys ask me, i would love to be in an MBA that allows me to explore topicsand fields, in that way Stanford and Booth are my primary goals. I know it´s hard but i´m working on that. Planning to go in 2022.
Thanks for reading this
(Sorry for the grammar, my writing is still on process)
