Hi,
I received my GMAT Online Score today. I scored 690 with a split of Q50, V34, and IR 4.
I'm not sure how good is this score.
Here are my profile and the list of targeted B schools. Kindly help me out with a comprehensive review.
Indian, male, 25 years.
10th - 90.92%
12th - 88.5% -- top 1% of State (among the top 0.01% performers in engineering entrance)
Graduation (Engineering) - 8.4 CGPA -- University of Mumbai -- top 10% of the batch. -- -- an alumnus of one of the oldest engineering colleges in India (it was founded in 1887 so a vintage of 133 years). My undergrad school has been a B-school feeder for all the top B schools in India. A few extra-curricular activities spread across 4 years and 2 internships. Also, got an opportunity to present my technical paper at a national level technical conference organized by the largest research and development organization in India (CSIR).
Work Exp - 03 years (as of June 2020) in Financial Consulting spread across 2 organizations (1st being the oldest rating agency in India and 2nd is one of the Big4's) - 1 promotion + increase in the scope of work + experience in catering to C-Suite requirements within and outside India. I have been handling and managing the projects as an individual contributor. 7-month on-site experience in the Middle East + Consulted international financial institutions from India.
Post-MBA goals - Strategy Consulting.
Target schools - Oxford, Cambridge, Rotman, ISB, HEC.
It will also be helpful if you could list some other B-schools that I can target.

- The academic background sounds compelling but will be good to understand the actual brand. While Indian bschools is fine, you'd have to consider if there is precedence of international schools since that's what really matters in this case. Also, given this potential pedigree, the GMAT would be a weak point unfortunately. Broadly speaking, one can easily add 20-30 points to a given school's average to get a sense of the Indian GMAT average. Any plans of a retake? This is also critical since consulting firms look at your GMAT while recruiting from bschools.
- The work profile is interesting given the diversity of experience. It would be important to however understand the actual nature of work and achievements therein, at the Big 4. At times, there could be some prejudice between Big 4 and Big 3 so bear that in mind. The international experience will certainly help, especially for the European programs.
- The ECs arc sounds vague (?). You've not mentioned anything after college. This is why ECs matter. Maybe a potential blind spot here.
- For reasons mentioned here, we don't speculate on school selection or chances. That being said, with a better score, there seems to be sufficient firepower here. The current score, while not a total deal breaker, may mean looking at some more schools too.

Well yes, I do have extracurricular outside of college :
Here are the details:
Helped an NGO to set up its operations and initial funding requirements.
Currently helping a few MSMEs in reorganizing, rebranding, product placement, and product pricing.
Well, I can retake GMAT but all GMAT Centres in Bombay are currently closed and GMAT Online can be taken only once.
Can you recommend some other Bschools that I should consider?
