Hi, I'm from India. So recently I gave my first attempt at GRE- Score 317(V-157,Q-160), I'm a chemical engineer with CGPA of 9.21/10, and will complete 3 years of work experience at Wacker chemicals in 2021 fall.( 2 years as a Research and Developer and 1 year as a technical head).
I'm not sure whether I can target top MBA programs(due to my bare minimum work experience) and low GRE. But I'm considering giving the GRE again but I'm not sure if its useful as most MBA programs have candidates with 5 years of work ex.

Any help is appreciated.

It would be difficult to contextualize this without knowing which schools you are aiming for and in what regions. Please provide more information.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I intend to shift towards the marketing, entertainment or fashion industry. Hence, my preferred choices considering NYU, UCLA, Kellog, Wharton, Fuqua, Standford and Columbia.

Hi Vidit17

Thanks for your response. For those schools, you would need 325+, and closer to 330 if possible. Your GPA is good, but the GRE is not in consonance with your aspirations for these schools.

Also, a switch to fashion from your current background (chemical engineering) will take some doing, so please ensure you are thinking your goals through on your apps and for your post-MBA career as well. Getting some relevant experience in that sector before you apply can help.

Thanks for the reply, I'm understand my experience issue and that I'm shifting fields
Due to this I'm also considering MIM from Universities like HEC, ESSEC, ESCP and Marketing from USC, Imperial. Is my profile competetive for such schools?
