Requesting profile evaluation for myself.
Background:
IT Engineer Male Indian
Age - 29 (Soon to be 30)
Education
10th grade : 86.53%
12th grade: 83.00%
Engineering GPA - 4.0 (As per GMAC website)
GMAT: 740 (Quant - V51 , Verbal- V38 , IR - 8)
Work Experience:
7.5 years in IT MNC. Worked as a software quality engineer/scrum master for US based telecom clients.
3 years experience working in US at client location with daily interaction and client handling role.
Experience with managing and leading teams for both offshore and onshore.
Received multiple recognitions during my career for showing good work ethics and leadership qualities from employer as well as clients.
Completed IT certifications provided by PMI for project management and scrum.
Extra- Curricular Activities:
Currently part of JOSH team at my employer which is responsible for organizing fun/social activities at org level.
Volunteered for an NGO in college and currently at work (don't have certificate to justify this)
Organized and participated different events at college.
Vice-President of my school.
Have achievements in terms of participation of Cricket, football during my schooling and now work days. Now I play for my company's corporate team.
LOR's -
Can provide letter of recommendation from my current and previous program managers.
Also checking with my previous US client for the same.
Post MBA goals
Work in US/Europe. Goal is to get into Consulting.
Short Term: Strategy/Management Consulting
Long Term: Take up a general management role(maybe a role in strategy and planning team) for an established firm
I understand there are other aspects to the applications such as the essays and the recommendations, however, I would like to know if these are the ones to be considered, will I have a shot top 30 programs?
Also which schools can I have realistic chance both India and abroad.

anurag18, a few thoughts on your profile evaluation and plans:

- It'll be good to understand your actual reported GPA/percentage. Most schools don't ask for a conversion on 4 point scale. The brand of your undergrad college matters too. It's tough to assess the academic arc in absence of these. The GMAT of course looks good and should position you well for the top 30 range you have in mind.
- The professional profile, especially the onsite stint, will be useful. It does get tough to differentiate in a QA profile so look to other aspects of your profile to stand out. It's not clear as to the kind of career acceleration you have had. The transition into management consulting is not a linear one. See here on typical roles that are usually better suited for software professionals after MBA.
- The ECs arc looks promising and something that can help you differentiate. This is why ECs matter. Schools don't necessarily need certificates. They trust you and so, use these well.
- For reasons mentioned here, we don't speculate on school selection or chances. In India, you do look well positioned for the 3 IIMs and ISB though.
