Great question!
Work experience for candidates applying while still in university/college is not nearly as important as those who are years removed from the date of their degree. Any experience, internships or starting your own business, will only add to your profile.
You will be evaluated alongside other applicants with the same years and level of work experience. Bear in mind, that means that your academic performance, extracurricular activities and standardized test scores will carry much more weight.
If you are curious about pursuing this path, I would look at the information publicly available about the HBS 2+2 program, which is the closest barometer.
We work with younger/college MBA applicants all the time, so please reach out to us at
Admissionado if you are interested in scheduling a free consultation. We can walk you through how you would want to balance your application to show what seems like valuable work experience, even prior to having graduated university.
