Hey Paul, your feedback here is great. Hopefully one more eval won't hurt too much..
Stats:
> Canadian Born and Raised
> 24yrs now, 25 by fall 07
> 730 GMAT (Q49/90, V40/90)
> 6.0 AWA
> Computer Engineering from U of Alberta 3.5/4.0 GPA (very high marks in math and all calculus and software/computer subjects, lower on electrical type engineering stuff)
> 3.25 years exp by fall 07 at a certain 3 lettered large IT firm starting off in a technical role, moving quickly to a Product Management role for an industry leading software product/brand (team of 8 PMs for over 700 developers). Also as part of role, personally manage smaller technical marketing initiatives.
> 2 refs from: current manager (head Product Manager) and old boss (Director level position)
Reasons:
> like tech, but moved into a role where i need to solidify business knowledge to progress
> role is very international (development/sales teams all over world) right now, would love to diverge a bit and follow the international business path
> looking short term to expand bredth in industry (possibly through consulting role), as right now i have a deep knowlege of enterprise software systems
> looking long term for international managerial/marketing role (options open, but possibly in tech industry)
> Personal life very important to me, would love the chance to live/experience a big city!
Leadership/Personal:
> Team lead for many smaller projects
> Mentor to many many new employees and students
> Technical mentor for bleeding edge technical open source projects
> Saw the need for a initiated a community building organization for new employees. Generated plans, pursued exec sponsorship and budget, organized events, worked closely with HR to develop long term corporate plan for employee retention/morale
> community Soccer team for a few years
> Travel important (backpacking europe, all over asia)
> Throughout highschool/university did a lot more leadership (volunteered organizing many events through various school organizations, active member of IEEE student branch, student body president of highschool)
Schools (In order of preference):
> Columbia/London
> NYU/MIT
> Harvard/Wharton/Stanford (the obvious dream trifecta)
> Toronto (bit of a safety..)

Sumitv,
You have a decent, perhaps even better than decent, chance at NYU, MIT, and London. Any blemishes hurt when it comes to getting into HBS, Wharton, CBS, and Stanford, and in your case the lack of recent community involvement that's at the same level as your professional profile hurts your chances at these most selective schools. I would consider these longshots, but by all means take a chance. Toronto should be no problem.

Thanks Paul, that does help.. doing all these apps are daunting, and a tad demoralizing sometimes when you see the quality of applicants out there, glad to hear that i might possibly maybe for a second have a shot!!
