I am interested in getting into H/S/W full-time, with backup schools of Columbia and MIT, but would also be interested to know my competitiveness for other M7 schools and Wharton EMBA or Columbia J-Term.

Key facts:

- I started, raised $1 MM in VC funding for, and sold a technology startup at a $10 MM valuation;
- Created an independent consulting practice that turned into investment banking advisory where I do private capital raises for clients (licensed w/FINRA);
- Prior community involvement includes advisory to high profile non-profit executive and program manager for human rights non-profit in Undergraduate;
- BSc in MIS from Purdue University's Krannert School of Management;
- Did my first two years at a community college (3.02) and last two at Purdue (2.97) because I was from a low-income family and was dealing with personal issues at the time and averages out to 3.06
- I intend on using a high profile admissions consultant to assist me in the preparation of my application;

Questions:

1. Would it be advantageous to overcome my low GPA if I scored in an equally high percentile for the GRE?

Hi keithm202
- We are not getting a sense of the total quantum of your work experience through this post. Please provide that. The Wharton EMBA, for example, has a class with an average of 12+ years of experience, but if you have experience around that range, you might be too experienced for most regular full time MBA programs.
- The undergrad GPA will be more of an issue in full time programs. You may consider taking some extra courses at say a community college as well to bolster that GPA. Another option is to take MBA Math courses. While the strong GRE/GMAT will help, it will not completely cover up for a low GPA.
- What are your goals? The choice of program/school would depend a lot on that as well.
