Hello! I hope you’re doing well. I am facing a dilemma right now that might prove to be very costly for me. I recently got an offer of admission from NUS Business School. I can’t be happier. NUS is an incredible school. Yet, I have also applied to London School of Economics, which is my dream school for as long as I can remember. Now, the NUS guys want me to submit an acceptance fee of around ten thousand Singaporean dollars by mid-May or let the offer go.
The problem is that I am yet to hear from LSE and, a part from being unavailable for a quick response, LSE seems to be really slow in meeting out decisions. Sure LSE has thousands of applications to process and I totally get it but the fact that there is no avenue for a quick, direct communication with LSE graduate office could prove disastrous in some cases.
As long as I don’t hear from LSE, I won’t be able to make the right decision. Maybe I submit the acceptance fee at NUS and then hear from LSE the next day, costing me ten grands in process. That would be a nightmare!
Please guide me, experts, as to what should I do in this predicament. I want to make the right decision that could have humongous consequences for my life and career.
Really looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Sincere regards.
