I took the GMAT yesterday and scored a 710. Thanks to everyone on this site!! I would have liked to score a little higher, but I don't think I am going to retake it.
My Profile:
GMAT: 710 (48/39)
GPA: 3.3-3.4
School: Bottom of top tier (BBA)
Exp: Will have 4+ years experience in the business side of IT when I start next fall with 2+ of those years being in management (10 reports).
Recs: 3 great letters of rec.
I would like to attend the best school possible without submitting 20 applications. What schools should I target? Am I competitive at the top schools?

You didn't provide enough info--your goals, in particular--to give you a useful recommendation. The fact that you are in IT is something you will have to work hard to make interesting for the adcoms; the fact that you have 10 reports is a strong differeniator that you should emphasize in your essays. So you may have a chance at some top tens ...

Thanks for responding. As far as my goals are concerned I definitely want to target schools that are strong in general management to broaden/deepen my skill set and keep my options open. If my feelings don't change over the next three years I will probably target a management/director position in IT strategy after graduation. For a more long term goal I would like to target a CIO position or another upper management position that requires strong strategic management/decision making skills.
That said, since my skill set is more on the business side of IT I would not be opposed to leaving IT all together if that right opportunity presented itself.
Which schools that are in the top ten (that are strong in general management) do you think I have the best chance of getting accepted into?
