Hello Experts,
I am writing to seek help from you all so that I can decide the target score and area I need to focus in my application part.
I am looking to target the following B-Schools for the class of 2022
Globally top 30 universities for MSBA(Master's of Business Analytics)
Demographic
Female, Indian, 23 years old
GMAT
/ Target 700+ by August [current -470]
Academics
/ 10th grade: 9.0 CGPA
/ 12th Grade: 77.00%
/ Undergrad: Bachelors in Computer science from Mody University 9.05 CGPA (first division). (2015-2019)(4 years degree)
Work Experience
Currently I am working as a Software Engineer in a MNC. I have 2 years of work ex till now. I am working on different technologies with has encouraged me to work more on data part which is crucial in any process. To leverage my skills I aim to pursue my Master's in BA.
Extra-curricular
-Member of CSR Team in my current company.
- Handling different volunteering activities.
- During College have participated in multiple events and conference.
This is a brief description about me, I want to know if I apply for MSBA which specific areas of my profile needs improvement and the time required to work on all of these areas.

As you know, the GMAT (/GRE) is your biggest weakness. Going from a 470 to a 700+ is an enormous jump. What makes you so confident you can close that gap? I personally would have my doubts, but perhaps there's some relevant context that you can share to mitigate our concerns.
Your ECs are fine, but not spectacular. Can you pick up something else or contribute more to anything in which you are currently already involved?
Have you thought about your post-masters career goals? That is very important. Thankfully you have time to develop your thoughts.

I agree that GMAT is your biggest challenge right now. That is a big gap to close, and it's hard to assess your chances without your final score. I also wonder about your timing -- with only 2 years work experience, and significant time needed on your GMAT, I would consider at least target applying next cycle. You can check with your target programs to view their class profiles, and see what the average work experience level is when students start. Having that extra time would hopefully mean you'd be able to show progression in your software engineering role, potentially some team lead experience, and also give you time to boost your extracurriculars. Don't rush it! You do have a strong GPA, but if you want to aim for top programs, then I agree with aiming for 700+.
