Hi
red97,
Thank you for your post.
While determining specific programs is something that
Personal MBA Coach helps clients with via our
comprehensive packages, some initial thoughts keeping in mind your post-MBA goal of product management are Wharton, CBS, Ross, HBS, and Kellogg (since this goal is a fairly common one, you will really want to dig deep and think about how you will make your unique mark).
It can be helpful to use statistics such as acceptance rate and average GPA and GMAT/GRE of enrolled students as initial benchmarking data. Your 730 GMAT score is strong and can help to outweigh your lower CGPA. However, remember that the whole applicant package matters and plenty of candidates with a lower than average GPA or GMAT/GRE will get in each year and vice versa.
Location, curriculum, and areas of excellence are a few other factors to help with business school selection. Take a look at our
Decision Making Guide to learn more!
Once you develop your target school list, you will want to get to know these schools well by attending virtual events, and in your application discuss how that school will specifically facilitate your career in product management.
In terms of your current professional role, it seems like you have a good breadth of experience that you can elaborate on. Do not hesitate to reach out to
[email protected] to further discuss your application strategy and learn how we can help set you up for success!
Best,
