Hi Paul,
I would be thankful if you could eveluate my profile for the b-schools to which I have already applied in R1 (GSB, WHarton, Kellogg) and maybe give me your advice regarding the b-schools I should consider for R2 (I consider Ross and Duke).
I'm Russian, male, 28 y.o., married
GMAT 730 (Q47,V44,AWA5.0) from the 1st attempt. TOEFL 290
GPA 4.9/5.0 from one of the most prestigious Russian universities (Diploma with honors for outstanding GPA)
My post-MBA career goal is a position of associate in a top consulting company (Mackinsey, BCG, Bain, ATKearney...)
I have a six-year wrok experience in supply chain, First in a small company, mainly doing shipments, then I joined an entry level position with a russian affiliate of a Fortune-100 company. After a year of work I was sent for a one-year training assignment with a western-european affiliate of the company. Since my return to Russia I have been promoted twice and in my last role I am a group supervisor and also a leader of an important project.
My various duties include import-export operations, customer service, transportation, warehousing, logistic support for product launches.
I see as my weak point my unsufficient involvment in extracurricular activities:
- in the university I was learning aikido and acted as instructor's assistant
- once I was a volunteer interpreter for a major international sports event
- now i regularly exercise in sporting clays and backgammon
- i participate in professional supply chain conferences (made a report on the last one for the impressve audience of professional
-(i regularly donate to orphanages, but I guess I'm not supposed to write about this in my essay)
thank you in advance!
