I am very excited to share that I got an admit at INSEAD. I am an Indian girl, had a GMAT score of 700, with 3.5 years of International experience and total 7 years experience in Oil and gas.
I would like to highlight the contribution of The Red Pen during my journey. My journey started with a detailed discussion with the owner of Red Pen Preeti Wadekar. She is very thorough and having studied from Columbia university herself understands the grind and the emotional aspects - stress, fear, uncertainty etc that an MBA candidate goes through. She gave me a candid feedback on my profile and some steps on how I could improve my profile - especially on the extra curriculars perspective. I was assigned to an INSEAD alum Mitrabina Sen Khare as my primary consultant, as INSEAD was on the top in my targeted schools list. Mitrabina is very focused and professional and what I absolutely loved about her was her candid feedback - she did not hold back what she felt about my essays, and her candid feedback and inputs made me think a lot more about my traits and then come up with the best possible application. The STAR format of the Red Pen is an absolute game changer.
I would absolutely recommend The Red Pen as a support in your MBA journey and wishing you all the very best!

Congratulations, Klal1608, on gaining admission to your top school. Pardon me for being a little behind, but what, exactly, is the STAR format? Is it a reference to the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) interview format? My first thought was to check out the Red Pen website, where I found no reference to STAR. (I thought it might be some proprietary practice that only clients get to see.)
