Age: 27
Undergrad GPA : 2.4
GMAT : 760 (Q51, V40)
Work: Pingtong Air Base (military service) 1.5yr
- second lieuteinant in statistics and budgeting office
- awarded a certificate of outstanding performance
American Express Taipei Branch 1.5yr
- financial analyst in financial planning team
- awarded employee of the month
Deutsche Bank Taipei Branch 1.5yr
- funding officer (Money Market & FX team)
So far I have not taken a substantial managerial position but demonstrated strong initiatives and teamwork ability.
Extracurricular: VP in guitar society back in college with experiences of arranging several concerts.
Miscellaneous:
- got 975 in TOEIC.
- can speak a little French.
- have a hobby of following international affairs. Had a letter posted on Time Magazine.
Upon graduation, I want to work in investment management sector in Asia/Pacific Region. ( Equity Researcher -> Fund Manager )

You have a strong and relatively distinctive profile despite your lack of formal leadership (though I bet you can find some examples of informal leadership to write about; also having the rank of lieutenant implies leadership). The lack of recent community service is a negative, but I rate your chances at Indiana, Perdue, and Ohio State as very good; at Rochester, Emory, UNC, Duke, and Texas as good; and at GSB (Chicago?), UM, Dartmouth, and NYU as decent. Your leadership and community service profile will hurt you most at the latter four schools, but even so 1 or 2 of these 4 schools may come through for you if you give them a very strong essay set and application.
