I am planning to apply to my target B schools in R2 (Full time programs) this year. My profile is as follows:
Gender: Female
Age: 26 years
Location: India
Target schools: Booth, Berkeley, Wharton, NYU Stern, Ross, Marshal, UCLA, Stanford, Kellog, Cornel, LBS, INSEAD, HEC
POst MBA Target domain: Consulting
Work experience: ~5 years
I have worked as a credit analyst with a private bank and subsequently Citibank (1 promotion) in India for about 4 years. I then joined consulting firm Dun and Bradstreet as a strategy consultant in Doha, Qatar where I worked for 9 months. I will be moving to Prague to join Citibank as a Senior Aredit Analyst in mid January.
Education: Qualified ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants)
B.B.A majoring in Finance and Accounting
Undergrad GPA: 3.04 (on scale of 4)
Extra curriculars:
While working at Axis Bank, led a award winning CSR project centered around financial literacy in the unbanked population of India
Cultivated and scaled a running community from 20 to 500 members.
Have worked for an NGO that works very actively for animal shelter and treatment
Have worked as volunteer for an NGO that worked for Covid relief measures across the country.
GMAT score: 740 (Q50 V41 IR3 AWA5)
Can you please let me know what schools I can target and what schools would be ambitious? Please feel free to recommend other schools not in the list

kriti4654, a few thoughts on your profile evaluation and plans
Hope this helps some. Do reach out for further help but in any case, move really fast since there is barely time left for the deadlines.
- The academic arc is a bit of a mixed bag and slightly unclear. The BBA college pedigree matters while the GPA can be a cause of concern. GMAT will help to a certain extent but may still need explaining. Are you a qualified CA?
- The professional profile looks quite promising. The association with Citi and D&B brands helps. The flip-flop from banking to consulting back to banking could be tricky to justify though and the post-MBA goal again a flip will be even more problematic. Think of devising your story so that the seemingly flippant career choices are put into the right perspective so you get mileage from them.
- The ECs look adequate but make sure to articulate them well.
- For reasons mentioned here, we don't speculate on school selection or chances. That being said, the international experience will help a lot for European programs. In terms of timelines, for INSEAD and HEC, it would be prudent to look at the Jan'24 intake instead of Fall'23.

Among US schools
Hight probability admits- Cornell, Marshal (maybe a lucrative scholarship), Kellogg (needs exceptional execution), UCLA
Probable tough converts- Booth, Berkeley, Wharton, NYU Stern, Stanford, Ross
For LBS and INSEAD, you ought to showcase an immense understanding of the program and display a strong fit. For LBS, R2 and forward are fiercely competitive, and for INSEAD, you should ideally target an early intake (unless you can execute a tough-to-ignore candidacy in R3. Networking with the school is vital, I would say). HEC will roll out a new R1 for Jan 24 intake; you should target that.
I suggest you think thoroughly whether you wish to study in the US or Europe/EU and shortlist the schools accordingly. You do have a strong profile, so applying to such a large number of schools can take your focus away from going deeper into researching the fit and networking. This can be critical when applying to ultra-competitive MBA programs.
Your ECs are decent and have much potential for narrative shaping.
Consulting goals are too generic, and overused. However, if you are passionate about consulting, show more deliberation on what you would want to do in the long term and why, and what possible career tracks in the short/mid-term can help you gain the right type of experience that you need to achieve your long-term vision. Think of a plan B in addition to plan A (consulting in your case), and also present the rational thought process behind your motivation.
