Hey everyone.
As the title suggests, I am looking for some clarity on whether proof of Extra-Curricular and co-curricular activities that one may have participated in college is to be proved with certificates.
During my undergrad degree, I had been involved with several activities (Clubs, NGOs) that I would like to list in my application. The problem is that I have no certificate/letter to prove it. One college chapter that I was a part of has provided me with certificates in lieu of my participation in their events and acknowledged my activity with certificates. However, for the other two clubs that I was a member of, I wasn't provided with any certificate that proves my active involvement. It's also worth mentioning that I'm unable to find a few certificates that I received from the chapter that actually provided certificates, probably misplaced them.
Will the adcoms (of UK b-schools in particular) ask for such proof?
If I list out these activities in my application but don't include any kind of certificates, will the adcom accept it?
Is there any other way I could provide proof of my achievements?
TIA.

md110300Schools generally do not require evidence backing the extracurricular involvement you mention in applications. As mentioned earlier, mere certificates lacking introspection into what you have experienced in the process and its impact on your character are of little consequence.
However, if you have cleverly addressed this aspect in your application, backing up your mentioned involvements with certificates can be a commendable approach. While this may not produce a markedly distinct outcome, I generally consider it a positive practice and recommend that applicants consider it when possible.
In cases where you have misplaced certain certificates, there is no need to worry. Schools do not verify your participation in college activities. The manner in which you speak about your prior involvement in specific clubs, activities, NGO etc and your intentions to contribute profoundly to the student life of the prospective school are sufficient indications of your well-rounded personality.
Best wishes
