Hi,
I was wondering if you could give me some advice. I recently took the gmat and got a 710 (pretty balanced score between verbal and math). I am a US citizen and graduated from a respectable public university. I have a 3.94 gpa with a double major in econ. and pol. science and a minor in math. I consider myself to have strong quant. skills and received all A's in my advanced math and econ. classes. I graduated with high honors (through my econ. thesis), phi beta kappa, and magna cum laude. I have been working for two years and plan to apply to b-school either this fall or the following fall (leaning towards this fall). I work in the consulting field and work for a reputable firm. I have been promoted once and while I do not have a leadership position I try to make up for that by joining different committees at work. I volunteer a little, but plan on increasing this in the near future. I interned abroad as an undergraduate, but that is the only international work experience that I have. I would like to stay in my current field (energy) after b-school and believe that I have a good story to tell in my application about working in the energy sector. I plan on applying to top 15 schools and would like to get into a least one top 5. Do you believe that this is feasible? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!
