Hi everyone,
I’m applying to
ISB Young Leaders Program (YL) this cycle and would really appreciate a
brutally honest profile evaluation, especially from folks familiar with ISB YL or deferred MBA admissions.
Background- Age/Gender: 22, Female
- Academics:
- B Com (Hons), High First Class
- CFA Level 1
- 10th: 99.6% (State Topper level)
- 12th: 90.6%
- GMAT Focus Edition: 655
- Undergrad: Non-engineer
Work Experience- Role: Digital Strategy Manager – IIFL Home Finance
- Work: Leading design, execution, and scaling of AI-driven initiatives across digital transformation
- Focus areas include:
- AI & automation for customer experience
- Operational efficiency improvements
- Data-driven decision systems
- Regulatory and compliance enablement
- High ownership role with exposure to ambiguity and cross-functional leadership early in career
Target Program- ISB Young Leaders (Deferred MBA)
- I understand ISB looks for “uncommon” candidates with early leadership, learning agility, and clarity of thought — not just high scores.
What I’m Specifically Looking ForPlease feel free to be skeptical and poke holes. I’d love feedback on:
- Biggest weakness in my profile (GMAT? work impact? clarity of direction?)
- Whether my work experience sounds meaningfully differentiated or too “corporate / generic”
- How competitive my profile is relative to typical ISB YL admits
- What one thing I should strengthen most before final submission
- Overall verdict: Weak / Borderline / Strong / Very Strong for ISB YL
If helpful, you can assume my essays focus on early ownership, AI-led impact, and learning from ambiguity — but I’m conscious of avoiding MBA clichés and “telling vs showing.”
Thanks in advance — appreciate any candid input
