My profile:

Work Experience: Worked at the world's largest IT Consulting firm for just over 5 years. Focused early in my career on application development (Java/J2EE), but have moved to team lead and management roles in the last 3 years. Worked on two strategy-related roles to help with organizational strategy and planning. Promoted to executive level in less than 5 years, which is ahead of the curve. Have been working in the government industry with U.S. Federal clients.
In February I switched jobs and went to work for a smaller (1000 employees worldwide) Internet technology company. I was hired to develop the company's professional services department in the local region, and have already held significant leadership positions (2007 Q2 MVP in the company).
Highlight: Took a voluntary assignment from a unique program in February 2006, working in Sri Lanka for 4 months this past year (one month worknig remotely in Singapore). Accepted a 50% paycut and no per-diem (psuedo-volunteer) to work with an NGO in Sri Lanka whose mission is to promote IT in the government and to its citizens. My team of 3 consultants from London, LA, and Washington DC (myself) worked with government and NGO officials to plan and design a government IT infrastructure and front-end web portal for the country of Sri Lanka. We also helped in preparing the RFP to go out for bid on the work.
Extras: Regularly volunteer at local hospital through my company. Coaching a youth basketball team in the winters. Coaching youth soccer in the fall. Oh, and planning my wedding this summer Smile
My Sri Lanka experienced confirmed my interest in international business, and I have developed an interest in global economics. I would like to continue on the idea of working in emerging markets and developing nations. I do not have an economics background, but I did have some exposure to the World Bank and UNDP while I was working in Sri Lanka, and would like to build on that.
My schools of interest, in order:
Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago, Columbia.
How are my chances at these places and where can i improve for my RD1 applications?
