Hello, I was wondering if you could do an evaluation regarding my profile.

The schools I am looking at include:

a. All Big Ten Schools
b. Case Western Reserve
c. Pepperdine
d. Clairemont McKenna
e. Univ. of Wash, St. Louis

My Profile:

I've taken the GMAT twice (05/05) and got a 640 (Q38/V41), then (10/07) and got a 570 (Q35/V34). Will my decreasing score hurt my profile?

- GPA - 2.965 (I'm worried about my quant abilities that I have a C in calc I, and D- in calc II on my transcript, I do have A's in quite few of my finance course)

- Undergrad - San Diego State University (Finance Major) as well as a summer abroad at Oxford

- Work experience 3 years, will be 4 years when I apply. I worked for two years in litigation consulting and the past year and a half doing FP&A work as a financial analyst in a public semiconductor company.

- Managerial experience - None with the explicit title of manager. However, I've worked as the lead in quite a few projects.

- Age 25

- Post MBA goal - High-tech corporate finance

- Desired Specializations - Finance

- Extra Curr. - I do occasional volunteer work, but nothing consistent.

Given your GMAT score, GPA, and lack of strong extracurriculars and formal management experience Kellogg and Michigan are out. However, I think you can be optimistic that one or more of the remaining Big Ten schools will admit you, with Michigan State and Indiana being perhaps your best shots. Most of the Big 10 average GMATs hover around 650 and you aren't far from that. I think you can be even more optimistic about the other schools you mentioned (b, c, d, e).
