Hi Paul,
This is a bit out of scope from a traditional MBA, but your help is deeply appreciated. Please evaluate my profile and oblige.
GMAT : 600 (36Q (48th percentile) , 36V (84th percentile)) [single attempt]
Bachelor of Engineering - Information technology
1st year - 49%
2nd year - 50%
3rd year - 59%
4th year - 69% - passed top 3 in class (First class with Distinction)
Relevant Project
selected at 2 reputed national level project display exhibitions.
Applying to only one program: -

Last year Average Gmat for this program:- 600 (
just made it !!)
Not applying neither intrested in applying to an other program atleast for now.
Objective: to leverage the unique interdesciplinnary strengths of the program in pursuit of perfection in the field and to carve out a fullfilling career in public/pvt sector.
Relevant Project
selected at 2 reputed national level project display exhibitions.
Relevant certifications
5 Industry certifications in a period of 4 years.
Professional Experience
In MNC , 2 years full time till I join the program (17 months till date)
Local Company, 1 year part time relevant experience (Not sure to project this or not ?)
Experience of 2 different domains within information security, for 2 different US financial clients.
1. Fortune 500 financial
Designation senior Analyst
-worked as a duty manager for a particular shift
(does this show leadership potentiall ??)
2. US based Financial.
Designation Senior Analyst
-Responsible for service delivery of the project.
- leading a team (But it does not reflect in my designation, so can i portray this ??)
Research Work: -
Started doing research, since my engineering project, on a topic - continued my research for 1.5 more years -> research paper got selected at 2 international conferences -> Published paper at one. (This is also related to one of the domains I have worked in)
-Have given 2 technical presentations on relevant topics, one at industry
recognized bodies.
-Wrote an article in a technical magazine on a relevant topic
-1 more article and 1 more paper in pipeline (should i mention this somewhere ??)
- will get good recos from 2 direct superiors and one engg professor.
I think my + points are: -
-Good relevant experience
-relevant certifications
-Research work resulting in paper publication at international conference
-a couple of seminars and technical presentations
-relevant project during engg. -> got selected at exhibitions
-increased my score each year during engg. to pass in top 3 of my class
-applying to only 1 program at one university
I think my - points are: -
-Average GAMT score for the program
-Low Quant grades/score (but its a policy and mgmt course)
Community Service: -
Gave a couple of presentations to educate people as part of an ongoing effort. (How much will this matter ....i am already running out of space to put things)
A bit of extracuricular :-
did mountaineering / trecking 1 treck in the himalays also (Achievement:- fractured both my hands at 15,000 ft above sea level
)
1. What is your opinion about my chances for this program ??
2.There is a problem with my quant (in gmat as well as during undergrads) - will that affect me a lot ???
3. What do u think I should focus on in my essays ??
4. what do u think i should focus on in my resume ??

I'll try to answer as many of your questions as I can discuss in this free forum:
1. "Local Company, 1 year part time relevant experience [b](Not sure to project this or not ?)" YES, "PROJECT" IT BUT DON'T BUILD AN ESSAY AROUND IT.
2. "worked as a duty manager for a particular shift (does this show leadership potentiall ??)" OF COURSE
3. "- leading a team (But it does not reflect in my designation, so can i portray this ??)" YES, PORTRAY IT
4. "Gave a couple of presentations to educate people as part of an ongoing effort. (How much will this matter ....i am already running out of space to put things)" NOT VERY MUCH, BUT WORTH NOTING ON RESUME AND IN APPLICATION'S DATA SECTION
5. "What is your opinion about my chances for this program ??" I THINK THEY ARE DECENT TO GOOD. YOU ARE CERTAINLY COMPETITIVE.
6. "There is a problem with my quant (in gmat as well as during undergrads) - will that affect me a lot ???" NOT A LOT, BUT IT'S WHAT KEEPS YOU FROM BEING MORE THAN JUST COMPETITIVE AT THIS SCHOOL.
7. What do u think I should focus on in my essays ?? NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS PROGRAM'S ESSAYS. EXPLAIN WHY YOU NEED THIS DEGREE, GIVE SPECIFIC GOALS, EMPHASIZE LEADERSHIP AND IMPACT STORIES.
8. what do u think i should focus on in my resume ?? OVERVIEW OF CAREER, WITH EMPHASIS ON LEADERSHIP RATHER THAN TECHIE STUFF.
