I am a 24 year old Asian female with an international background (I've lived in 6 different countries besides US) - trilingual.
Education
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.A. in Finance (minor in economics). GPA: 3.6/4.0; Awards: Dean's List; Omicron Delta Epsilon; The National Scholars Honor Society. I joined Harvard University Summer School - Special Studies Program in Cases in Corporate Finance during Summer of my Senior Year; GPA 4.0/4.0, Rank 1st of the entire class.
Notable Work Experience
- Internship at BNP Paribas (Fixed Income Research) during Junior year (Analyst).
- Research Assistantship with an Associate Professor of Finance in College - I researched and measured real estate replacement costs.
- Now I am working at BlackRock Asset Management as a Portfolio Risk Analyst (heavy in Quants and Analytics).
Activities/ Achievements
- Student Consultant at a prestigious Consulting Organization in College.
- Mentor at an International Business Organization in College.
- Public Relations Comittee at a prestigeous Business Organization in College.
- Competed in BP (Amoco) p.l.c's Crude Oil Options Trading Competition where I won 4th place with most returns (Senior year College).

Misc.
- I have taken CFA lvl 1 recently but not GMAT. I aim at least 750 for the test.
- I can use UNIX, SQL, JAVA, R-Statistics, and Visual Basic on top of browsing the internet and writing on Microsoft Word/Excel.
- At 12, I was selected as one of my school's representatives to meet the President. It's a life-changing experience.
- I used to "adopt" a child from Africa and sent him $12/ mo through a non-profit organization.
- I collected second-hand clothes and distributed them for the homeless.
Objective
- Getting an MBA / Masters in International Public Affairs
- Work at a prestigious non-profit organization (such as World Bank) which goal aligns with mine: to reduce poverty and increase living standards of a society through international finance and modern economic development.
