BBA Finance & Accounting, cum laude (3.3 overall but 3.5 in last 60)
- GMAT: 710
-VP of Beta Alpha Psi
-good volunteer activities
-worked 25/hr throughout school to support family.
-2 Fortune 200 internships.
WE (32 months upon mat.):
Senior Auditor (middle market international accounting firm, 5th largest here in Houston)
-promoted 3 times in 2 years.
-CPA passed
-Focus on Energy
Personal:
- Grew up overseas, exposed to many cultures.
- will be 25 in summer 2010.
- Going to China in summer for a month to teach English.
Based on my profile if I decide to apply this year, what school should I be competitive at? sweet spots?
I am thinking of applying to following schools
Columbia, Chicago,
Cornell, Yale,
UTexas, NYU?
Any chances?

I think you chose the right range of schools.
Columbia, Chicago -- stretch (but give them a try anyhow; they aren't long shots; with a bit of luck and strong execution you have a chance).
Cornell, Yale, NYU -- sweet spots; you should be competitive for these range of schools
Texas -- safety; you should be able to get in unless you run into really bad luck
With these range of schools and dedication on the applications, you should be able to get into a few schools. Good luck

Thanks a lot for your response. I actually thought Yale, Cornell, NYU will be stretch for me but good to hear that I stand a chance.
Right now my biggest worry is ofcourse that I might be lacking work experience and is on the younger side, which might hurt me in recruiting. So what do you think if I wait another year and apply next year?
Do you think it will increase my chances at these school by a great deal? or just marginal?
