GMAT, should be chapter closed in your books, IMO. Move to application essays, they'll require you to spend loads of time.

Btw, Q50 V34 - would sum to ~710, that's what I've seen around here.

what about if you got a 690 GMAT score (88%) but the split was 43 Math (67%) and 41 Verbal (92%)?

Depends on many variables - the school you're applying, the demography you're from, the profile you've built et cetera.

On a personal front, I wouldn't give it another shot if I'd score 690. Essays, to me, are far more important than GMAT. So, it's wise to dedicate more time on essays. Again, it's just my view.

Hi folks, i am stuck at 570 (Q46/V26), any suggestion whether i should apply or give gmat again? i too have ambition of top school. i have 8yr exp. thanks

8 year exp seems a bit high now for the top programs. Most of them are recruiting with 2-4 work experience. The score is probably pretty low for the top ones, say top 20 schools, so you should consider retaking gmat with better preperation.
