Thanks for reply.
BTW, are you saying that it's no chance for a scientist to get a business degree? I highly doubt. Because friend of mine (physisist) got admitted to Kellog 2 years ago. He had no business experience at all!! Univeristies are looking for diversity. I've talked to people from Chicago (mostly alumni), they all say that I have chances.
About my business experience. As I said I owned my business in Russia. I just didn't write much about it. Moreover, as I said I was a senior researcher. It means that I was responsible for funding, for grands and so forth. I was talking to potential sponsors. I was organizing conferences etc. You are really confusing me

Sorry about any possible confusion.

Your previous post asked me for my opinion on your chances and specifically my opinion on your chances given your 600 GMAT and 21 verbal score. Basically I think your chances at a top school like Chicago or Kellogg are very poor with that score. I suggested getting additional work experience, because, while yes scientists can be accepted to business school including Chicago and Kellogg, scientists with business experience are accepted more often than those without it. Now you did say that you ran a small business in Russia and I did see that, but it sounded insignificant in your post. So I suggested that you strengthen your work experience along with your verbal score to strengthen your application overall.

Furthermore MBA's with scientific backgrounds and business experience also have an easier time finding a job when they leave business school than those without the business experience. But I did not say or even mean to imply that scientists, certainly not scientists with your impressive credentials, cannot be accepted to business school.

Good luck!
