Thanks Linda! Since I am considering primarily northeast schools, what would you suggest to add as safeties? I am also thinking of retaking the gmat to up my quant score (83%) i think there is definite room for improvement there as well.

Thanks!

BTW, just to correct my previous post, you are competitive at Georgetown. It is not a stretch program for you.

Before I recommend schools, what do you want to do after your MBA?

Best,
Linda

Hey Linda,

I'll be a career switcher. My goal is to move into general (management) consulting. In IT, I've had the wonderful opportunity to address all kinds of complex and difficult problems for the client, but I never liked how those problems were always framed in the context of the company's IT budget as a subset of their overall budget. Longer term, I hope to open my own consulting firm.

For safeties, look into UNC, Indiana, UT Austin. I wouldn't recommend retaking the GMAT as much as getting a few A's on your transcript. I think that will do more for you.

Best,
Linda
