I actually would like to extend on that point. I am currently working as an engineer and would like to take some courses/self study on Stats/Basic Accounting/Finance before attending business school. Not sure how I should proceed from here... any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Hi lonewolf,

Depending on your situation, you have different options. One, if you have already been admitted to business school, some programs offer pre-MBA review classes, which are tailored to help candidates succeed in the MBA coursework. These can be pricey, but are convenient and appropriate to the program at hand.

Other options are community colleges, for-profit or schools of continuing study targeted to an experienced clientele. Courses can be taken in-person or online, and course descriptions should give you a pretty good idea of the material covered. If not, I always advise clients to get in touch with the professor directly to ask if the course in question would be appropriate for pre-MBA coursework.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I am currently still studying for GMAT now so this is jumping the gun. I will definitely visit this thread back and ask for more clarification when the time is near.

Your heads up reply is awesome. Thank you again.
