I was looking at a full-time MBA application for Indiana (Kelley) & one
section called ACTIVITIES states "In order of importance to you, please list the college, community, or professional activities in which you've been involved or taken a leadership role."
For me, I really don't have any as I worked part-time throughout college or took film courses at another college including directing/editing student short films so that I never left time for activities. Also, I was/am the type of person who would join a club or organization only if I was 100% interested in it, not to be used as something to "pad" my resume. What do I do for this part of the application? It looks horrible just having this huge blank space there. I don't even professional activities due to the nature of my job that would work here either.

Hi,
Could you explain the directing and editing of the student films?
Perhaps these could be considered a form of community or school activity. It suggests a level of creativity and interest in a field beyond the ordinary academic curriculum.
Have you taken part in any volunteer activities? (e.g. voter registration drive, church activities, etc.)

I "unofficially" majored in film at a community college since I took most of the film production courses. I directed/edited 3 shorts (under 10 minutes) including writing, camera operation, lighting except & working with a couple of actors on my own shoot, and I worked on other student productions. My goal is to work in marketing in the films/music/video games so my past/current interests have always been in those areas. I have no other activities except for a semester working at a homeless shelter but that was only once a week.
