Thanks a lot for providing this free service and helping us all in our apps. Its great having these avenues from which applicants can ask and clarify doubts directly with experienced consultants.
I need some very specific info on Harvard, Wharton and Chicago w.r.t to the following criterions.
(i) GMAT-GPA relative importance.
I had initially thought that most schools give EQUAL importance to them, but read somewhere that Harvard looks more at your GPA than GMAT. Could you please confirm if this is true? How about wharton and Chicago? Do they give equal importance or do they have slight preference to any one of them.
(ii) Early career candidates.
W.R.T Harvard, it was easy to see determine they ARE friendly towards candidates with 0-3 years experience. I was able to see the exact breakdown of the number of applicants admitted for each graduated year on their website.
Now, how friendly are Wharton and Chicago towards candidates with <4 years of experience?
I could only see the average working experience and was not able to come to any conclusion.
I would really appreciate any new insights on these!

I believe you are correct that relative to other schools (including Wharton and Chicago Booth) HBSputs more emphasis on the GPA than the GMAT. However, don't be fooled or put too much stock in that piece of information. All top schools look at your application holistically and weigh both the GPA and the GMAT. Furthermore, all three schools have very similar average GMAT's for accepted students.
2) Both Wharton and Chicago are actively recruiting early career applicants. However, I also don't know the breakdown. I don't believe they are actively recruiting younger MBA applicants for nothing, but they are probably looking for those who can show maturity and a higher-than-average level of progression and achievement on the job.
