Linda-
I was wondering what the best protocol to use is for recommendations.
I have gotten my recommenders on board and provided them with my reasons for going back to school, list of schools, points to highlight, my strategy/"pitch", etc.
However, I'm now at the point where I need to get them working on the rec forms. I have sent them the online links to the forms for the schools I'm applying to.
My question is two-fold:1) Should I just let them run with these forms and fill them out as they see fit? Or should I help guide them throughout, perhaps calling them 1-2 times a week to see how they're coming?
2) Should I have them submit a Letter of Recommendation
in addition to the forms they are filling out? I've seen this in the Montauk book and wonder if a letter would add even more weight behind what they are expected to write in the online recommendation forms.
What do you suggest?
Thanks.
