Yes, I'm currently in my senior year of college, so I would be applying for programs this coming summer/fall.

As for circumstances, honestly the only reason is I'm really not a science person as well as I was dealing with some problems regarding a friend's depression and I was trying to handle that while having a job and classes, but I mean I honestly think I could've done better if I'd applied myself better.... I still take responsibility for my grade, and I've tried to overcome it's negativity on my transcript by performing well in all my other classes.

Yes, I'm currently doing an Internship at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida as a Business Analyst. I work with some Finance Related things such as budgeting, pulling unallocated reports, PPAs, making sure costs are being tracked correctly, etc, but nothing too difficult or noteworthy. Mostly, it's just helped me learn about corporate offices and get familiar with how they work.

Hope this gives you a better idea :) Thank you so much for your time!

I think MIT's MiF would be a stretch for you. probably so is Yale's Silver Scholars program. If you earn around a 690 and the programs you list take applicants straight from undergrad, then you would have a competitive profile for all of the rest of them.

Regarding the GMAT, my attitude is go in and aim for the highest score you can get, then deal with the result.

Best,
Linda

Thanks for your input! Do you think there's anything I can do to improve my profile in order to be a more competitive fit for MIT or Yale? Would a higher GMAT score help?

Please let me know. Thank you!

Yes. Your internship is impressive. Your GPA, other than that D, which was a long time ago, is stellar. But those two programs are highly competitive and a higher GMAT probably would help. For the MiF, the GMAT quant has to be high -- I would say above 80%. A 47 would probably just straddle that mark.
