Hi,
I would call myself a veteran for B-School application as I have seen hundreds of profile.
I do have inkling about my chances for B-School admission but want to know if my goals are realistic.
Here goes my profile.
I am a typical Indian IT male. I scored 720 in my last GMAT (Q51V36) which was in Sep-2009. Last year, I applied only to ISB but got dinged in the interview. Reason to apply only to ISB was very personal. But this year, I am very serious about my MBA and would go to any B-school. I have done my graduation from one of the IITs and was departmental Topper.I won University silver medal and as well as got Best Project Award. In extra-curricular, I was captain of Institute Athletics Team and has won various medal in various events. I also led the college in various national events.
After that, I worked in services company as well as product company. After working for 4 years, I started my own venture and working on the same. Before that, I started two venture which failed . But now, things are going pretty well in my venture but I feel the need for MBA to actually scale up the growth. Currently, we have been working on various national and international project. I think, MBA from a top school would really help me in accelerating my career. I have been involved in eco-friendly pursuits. Though, not directly, but through my company, I am involved in various eco-friendly pursuit.
I am aiming for Stanford, ISB, DUKE, Yale and MIT. What are my chances in these? Would you suggest me to take GMAT again? Though, I don't feel like attempting again, as I feel that Verbal is too much to improve.
