could you evaluate my profile please
GMAT : 770 (Q 51, V 42) - Strongest point
GPA : First Class (62.5%) in Eng from a reputed university in India. Top 10 % of class (Was managing family business while graduation due to financial problems)
Work Experience :
Currently - Total 4 yrs - IT
1] 3 Yrs at a Business process management and imaging company
A mid sized Indian IT company with offices in US and Europe.
A lot of client exposure and interaction with business users.
Was promoted after 2 years (instead of the normal 3 years for peers)*
Most of the work was as a consultant for clients, with understanding the business requirements and turning them into technical specifications.
Helped design various BPM solutions for Clients which resulted in 30-50% cost-savings on the process
Worked mostly in financial domain, mostly with Citigroup Private Banking (New York)
Managed work of a small team of 3 developers
2] Currently - Since last 1 year at one of the world's largest IT Security company (Antivirus and data backup)
Exposure to the Information security domain
Actively involved in the design and decision making process
Leadership Experience
During my graduation I was involved with 2 businesses
1] Managed Family Business of Travel Agency and Car Rentals
Developed business plan, budgets, marketing feasibility study, and demand forecast for
various decision making processes like increase manpower, increase car-base,
expanding operations.
Directed company’s entry into newer travel sector services like Air & Rail ticketing, Holiday packaging
by leveraging the company's existing manpower and office resources thereby increasing operational efficiency of resources by 60%.
Prepared promotional documents and pitch-document for new investors
Operations and Implementation
Managed optimization and cost reduction Kaizen (continuous improvement project), resulting in
elimination of bottlenecks and cost reduction of 20% within 3 months
Evaluated & inspected company’s compliance with regulations of various Indian government departments
2] Started Security Services business
Providing security staffing to various corporations

1] Since last 1 year actively involved in the Society Committee of our Housing society of 400 people. As part of it responsible for co-ordinating with residents of the society and other entities involved like government bodies, security vendors, society builder.
As recognition of the hard-work, recently elected the Vice-President of the newly formed committee.
2] Since last 2 years Actively involved in an NGO that helps people get access to various government documents, that makes them eligible for gov subsidies
3] Winner of a programming contest in college and was involved in various music and sports teams in college
4] In the first organization was actively involved in the company group intended to help out in education of the security and clerical staff.
My post MBA interest is mainly towards Management Consulting
Questions:
1] Do I have any realistic chance at H/S/W, considering the ultra-competitive demographic pool I belong to?
2] And how about the following schools especially Columbia (Since I would like to apply for its Early Action round)

Booth
Kellog
NYU
Tuck
Ross
Duke
Haas
3] And could you suggest a couple of safety schools, considering my profile

You posess all the core elements of a winning offering to just about any b-school. Even though you are applying from a very large pool (Indian IT male), you have some key components which will make you stand out.
1) your GMAT score is stratospheric.
2) your IT experience contains more than average leadership experience
3) you have been promoted and seem to have been on a progressively responsible track
4) you have worked in a consultant role, which will not only be valuable to your classmates in b-school as you solve cases and prepare projects, but also will sound believable as you cast your post-MBA vision of working as a consultant in a higher role. You should definitely play up your consultant experience in your application.
Beware that such a high GMAT score will make some top schools cautious (they don't like being perceived as admitting folks only for high scores, so the way to avoid this is to have contact with the admissions offices in person so you can demonstrate that you are not some braniac kook, but rather have an engaging personality which will make you appear very employable, and very desirable as a b-school teammate. Also make sure that you never ever come across as arrogant--the assumption for high GMAT scorers is that they are arrogant. If you follow this advice you will not need a safety school, and should have a shot at any given top school (although just based on the numbers game, I would apply to four or five schools--if you do so, I predict you will be able to choose between at least two or three).
Finally, make sure your application essays are well written, clear and engaging. Get guidance on them if you really want to nail them. Good luck!
